What do I like??
My favourite band ever since I was about 6 years old and first heard "Yellow Submarine" has been the Beatles. I mean, they're the Beatles! I don't think I really have to justify myself here.
About 3 or 4 years back I watched an episode of Spin City with a band in it. To cut a very long story exceedingly short - I'm now good friends with them, spent a week living with them in New York in January 2005, and was thanked on their new album (which is doing very well indeed). This band is The Churchills.
I've also become friends with other bands in New York and New Jersey, through being friends with The Churchills. Namely, The Crash Moderns and Hello Lovely amd dibs. (And I still love the old No Soap Radio and CleverHans stuff.. ahh, the good ole days!). And a brief visit to LA in summer of '05 left me in love with Intercept.
I also love the Aussie band Ffith Avenue, which is the McDonough's band (as in Blair - Stu in Neighbours - and his brothers). Other Aussie music that I like include Rob Mills (the guy we knew, who was on the Aussie version of Pop Idol), Thirsty Merc, The Whitlams, and Jet (if only coz the guys were so lovely when I met them). I'm also big into musical comedy (Tim Minchin, Eddie Perfect, Sammy J, Josh Earl and Justin 'The Bedroom Philosopher' to name just a few of the very best!)
