Dad is accidentally in the Beatles film 'A Hard Day's Night' - he's the guy in the river looking like a drowned rat as Ringo's walking along the river bank.

The TV Children's artist Tony Hart is a family friend.

Dad rowed in the 1972 Olympics in Munich.  He didn't win.

I've met the racing driver Johnny Herbert several times, and had a nice phone conversation with him.

I've chatted to Robbie Williams on the phone.  I also met his best friend Jonny Wilkes (and gave him a Join Me sticker, hurrah)

I spent a day being matesy with Jenson Button, made him laugh quite a bit, got to the stage where he would grin/say hi if he saw me when he walked by, and got the HUGEST bear hug and a kiss on the cheek at the end of the day. *happy place*

Two members of the very popular Aussie band Jet (Nic Cester and Cameron Muncey) were staying at a hotel I was working in.  I had no idea who they were, and so chatted to them very happily about stuff, and thought they were great.  It sucked on days when they weren't there to bump into.  And then after they'd checked out, I found out that they're rather famous...!!  Such nice guys!

I've met Gareth from How2 a couple of times, and I think he probably thinks I'm like some uber-fan, haha.  He's just as jolly in real life.  It's very exciting.

I've also met the Olympic runner Darren Campbell.  And the racing drivers Ralph Firman and Guy Smith and Anthony Davidson (who's teeny tiny!) and Beat Zehnder who used to be Sauber's team manager.  I tend to confuse Beat whenever I met him... poor guy!

I'm matesy with Blair McDonough (Stu in Neighbours).  He once implied that if I got mauled to death by a lion, then he'd go to my memorial service.  It's fair to say that he's rather aware of the random streak in my personality!...

I've met, chatted to, and got autographs and photos from the following Neighbours people: Dr Karl Kennedy, Joe Scully and the evil Dr Darcy. (And obviously Blair, see above).

In Oz, I made Karl Kennedy and Lou Carpenter laugh - by yelling at Dr Karl to sing Free As A River, and by announcing 'LOU ROCKS!' to Lou.  And I invented a new Stingray-ism that he said he'd get them to write into the show - SPIGGIN' WOO!! And I called Alf Stewart a flamin' gallah.

James Cracknell (the Olympic rower) once looked for me.  He didn't find me.  Mainly because he looked for me in the gym, and at the time I was watching TV in my hotel room.  Not coz I'm a lazy swine.. because I had a sprained ankle.  Not because I'm lazy at ALL... nope.

A mate's band is in the opening scene of an episode of The Sopranos ("Pie O My"... Season 4, I think).  Meadow wears a t-shirt for another band I'm friends with in one of the earlier series.

That second band I just mentioned that I'm friends with are on 2 episodes on Spin City, as well as having their songs on loads of other shows like ER, Scrubs, etc.

I've been on SkyNews (on the headline images, no less!) for 13 seconds every hour, when there were floods in the local town.  And I was front row of a music request TV show in Australia, which is broadcast live for about 4 hours.

I've had a couple of lovely chats with (and got a lovely big hug off) Danny Wallace, my Leader and King.

I met the guys that present Australian Idol.  As well as often seeing one of the guys from the first series - and becoming friends with his mum and stepdad too.

If you ever find yourself watching the Australian Comedy Channel (in Australia), then you'd find that I know (or at least have had some vague interaction with) about every other person on screen.

My friend Sammy was one of the stars of Australian TV Channel 7's shortest lived comedy show EVER.  Woo, achievement!

A couple of other mates in Oz got their very own sketch show made into a TV show!!!  How exciting!  I'm an honorary member of their group.  They'd do anything for me, coz I'm on the team.  They snuck us into a show once, just coz they could, it was fun.

Me and Trisi told the Aussie Prime Minister to go on a show called Rove [Live] (we had a little sign and everything)... Rove then mentioned this on his show.  Oh the manic celebrating that followed must have been heard for miles around!  And I know a bazillion people that have been guests on his show at one time or another.

I'm friendly with Dave the Umbilical Brother (he's the one with hair).  He's great!  He was going to put us on the door for his show, but we'd promised a friend that we'd see his show that night so knocked Dave back.  Luckily, we got free Umbi's tickets a few months later when another friend was their support act.  Anyhoos, I just can't help but randomly argue with Dave when I see him... it's fun!  He remembers me due to my smiling face, even if he can't *quite* remember WHY he remembers it.  Although, to be fair on him, once he had a bit of a clue, he remembered precisely... which was nice.  I'm going to challenge him to a unicycle vs walking race next time I see him.  I really have to learn how to unicycle properly first!!!
